Vice President of Real Estate Development
Generation West VirginiaAbout the role
About Us and You
The Dickinson family has been in business in the state since 1813. The businesses began in the salt industry in Malden, WV, then quickly grew into land acquisition, natural resources and banking. We think generationally, have a deep commitment to the state and how we contribute to the economy. We seek opportunities that have long term benefits to the shareholders and also the wider region. Dickinson Company, LLC is a holding company for the John L. Dickinson family, and historically was the family’s main business enterprise. It is a general partner in Southern Land Company, LP and a partner in Quincy Coal Company, J.L.D. Realty as well as other small companies. Dickinson Company manages assets and investments through those entities in natural resources and real estate.
We look to hire an executive to manage and grow our assets and income for future generations. The successful candidate will have a servant leader ethic, high business acumen, broad asset management and transaction experience, and a commitment to West Virginia.
Role
The Vice President role will be multi-faceted, focusing on our existing assets, seeking and developing new ones, and upgrading our internal systems and processes. The position will report to the President of Dickinson Company and work closely with the Board Chair, and other Board members and advisors, as well as our professional staff. Over time we envision this position growing into a COO role.
