Directly supporting the Associate Medical Director Austria, the Senior Medical Manager Austria will be a key contact person for Market Access teams, various Medical teams and for Clinical Operations.
S/he will review and approve the medical content in the reimbursement dossiers as well as in the approval process for promotional materials and medical communication related documents. S/he will support the teams with deep data knowledge and an out-of-the-box thinking attitude. The Senior Medical Manager Austria will also work closely with HEOR for real-world evidence generation.
The role requires close interaction with local Market Access and Commercial teams to assure strategic dialogue considering local specifics and input from a medical perspective.
In addition, s/he will support the Medical Affairs and the Clinical Operations team in the context of clinical developmental trials (Phase I – III) and non-interventional trials (phase IV) in terms of relevant aspects like (strategic) feasibilities, site selection, site initiation and in general, to ensure that an increasing number of BeOne Medicines clinical trials will be conducted in Austria.
The incumbent will play an important role in the further establishment of BeOne Medicines as a valued collaborator and best-in-class biopharmaceutical company.
Essential Functions of the job:
S/he will be working with the Market Access and Commercial teams to support commercial reimbursement and Market Access strategies for the complete BeOne Medicines portfolio of products. This individual will shape the reimbursement environment and give medical input to payer strategies. S/he will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to communicate medical positions that shape a positive market access environment for BeOne Medicines.
S/he will support BeOne’s products by reviewing and approving promotional materials and medical communication related documents, supporting the delivery of medical publication plans and publication-related deliverables (MSL Decks, Scientific Communication Platforms etc.), as well as supporting training for employees and new starters. In addition, s/he will also be responsible for supporting symposia of local congresses and meetings with content and reviews related to hematology and oncology.
The incumbent will support the local Medical Affairs team with the coordination of investigator sponsored research of key investigators and respective study groups, as well as selection and development of research ideas form the market (data-generation).
In close collaboration with Clinical Operations, the Senior Medical Manager Austria will actively contribute to medical input for (strategic) feasibilities, indication mappings, site selections and will contribute to other aligned activities with the Field Medical Advisors and the Associate Medical Director for company sponsored studies (Phase I – III) and non-interventional trials (phase IV).

This individual will possess a strong understanding of reimbursement and health care policy and processes and will give the medical perspective on the data and interpretations. The role will play a key role in the cross-functional Market Access Group, supporting both pipeline and new market opportunities within BeOne
Review and correction of reimbursement value dossiers from medical affairs perspective and active participation in hearings and negotiations.
Close cross-functional collaboration with HEOR and Customer engagement.
Collaborate with external stakeholders as appropriate, including company participation in government forums and industry group meetings.
Review and approval of local promotional materials, medical materials (e.g. symposia-slidedecks, scripted responses, Q&As, etc. as well as handling FAQs and standard response letters)
Provide support and preparation related to local congresses in close cooperation with customer engagement.
Developing and supporting medical focused training for employees and new starters.
Continuous monitoring of product trends from a local level to ensure appropriate content strategy and documents are developed.
Continuous improvement of medical processes and deliverables.
