Medical Office Associate I - Per Diem (7:00am-3:00pm) HMC

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Medical Office Associate I at Hackettstown Medical Center. Required hours are 7:00AM-3:00PM weekdays. Starting rate $20.05/hr.
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
- Manages phones.
- Greets patients.
- Schedules/confirms appointments.
- Enters demographics & patient information.
- Verifies insurance coverage, complete forms, collect co-pays.
- Balances cash.
- Maintains schedule in EMR system, and processes pre-certs/authorizations & referrals as well as medical records releases.
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
- To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus.
- Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Relevant Experience:
- Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred.
