Tempus is seeking a Senior Commercial Learning and Development Manager to join our Learning and Development (L&D) team. This position will report to the Director of Commercial Learning and Development and will work closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing and Medical Affairs to spearhead the development, creation, implementation and facilitation of a training for our healthcare provider facing sales teams, primarily the NeuroPsychiatry and Oncology sales teams focused on pharmacogenomic, somatic and germline oncology offerings.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development, implementation, facilitation and maintenance of an end-to-end training process for the NeuroPsychiatry team that aligns with company objectives, meets organizational goals and serves individual professional needs
  • Support development, implementation, facilitation and maintenance of the end-to-end training process for the Oncology sales teams in the same fashion
  • Direct appropriate content creation and maintenance in collaboration with brand teams, medical affairs, and compliance
  • Devise, integrate and coordinate supplemental sales enablement activities to complement didactic training including live virtual training, implementation activities and assessments during the home study phase of new hire training
  • Create and facilitate training for live onsite training for new hires and existing employees 
  • Contribute to launch training efforts with content creation and live training.
  • Serve as key driver and partnership with Sales Leadership in development of training agendas and supporting materials for regional and national meetings.
  • Assist in translating national brand plans and tactics into development of messaging practice, and role play scenarios for all meetings
  • Connect with internal stakeholders to coordinate instruction and scheduling of training across multiple modalities based on the ongoing needs of the team
  • Provide learner feedback to Sales Leadership with recommendations for follow-up coaching

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 2+ years experience building and delivering training program infrastructure in the biotechnology, diagnostic and/or pharmaceutical space
  • Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of the following computer software programs: Goggle suites and Microsoft office
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage complex projects utilizing resources across functional teams, including vendors and at all levels of the organization to create high quality training and development products delivered on time
  • Outstanding oral presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, technical and creative problem- solving skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to coordinate accomplishment of tasks through cooperation with other people and teams at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multi-task effectively
  • Ability to coach, inspire, and also give clear feedback on improvements needed to sales representatives
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a strong teamwork ethic
  • Flexible with the ability to take feedback and adjust quickly
  • Self-directed, intrinsically motivated while and flexible to changes in an ever changing dynamic environment
  • Highly developed written skills, the ability to produce documents and presentations for dissemination both inside and outside the organization for presentations, technical briefs and scientific publication summaries
  • Excellent proofreading skills, with the ability to proof for proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting of documents
  • Remote based with the ability to travel required up to 50%
