Talbot Embedded Regional Supervisor

 

Position Summary

The Regional Supervisor provides leadership, oversight, and quality assurance for multiple Seminary@Ministry teaching sites within the Talbot Embedded initiative. This role ensures that each site reflects the academic standards, theological commitments, relational culture, and ministry vision of Talbot School of Theology.


The Regional Supervisor supports Site Coordinators and host ministry partners as a coach and strategic partner, helping ensure consistent program quality, a strong student experience, and healthy cohort development across assigned sites. The role also contributes to regional partnership development and student recruitment efforts.


Alignment with Theological Positions

The person who fills this position must be someone who personally agrees with Biola’s Articles of Faith and Statement of Biblical Principles and who is supportive of the positions taken by Biola as contained in its Eschatology Teaching Position.  As such, this person may not speak against or act in a manner inconsistent with these positions during the course of their employment at Biola.

Supervisors

  • Reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives.

 

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; marketing, communications, public relations, or related field preferred.

  • Master’s degree in a theology, ministry, or related field preferred.

 

Work Requirements

  • Part-time, non-exempt position (10 hours per week).

  • Occasional travel and periodic presence on Biola University’s campus in La Mirada, CA required.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee assigned Seminary@Ministry sites to ensure consistent program delivery, student experience, and ministry integration across cohorts.

  • Monitor site health, engagement, effectiveness, and alignment with Talbot’s mission and academic standards

  • Support Site Coordinators through leadership coaching in  communication, administration, student care, and problem-solving

  • Serve as the primary regional support contact for site leaders and ministry partners

  • Support student recruitment, cohort enrollment, and  promotion of Seminary@Ministry program within churches, ministries, and regional networks

  • Monitor student engagement, retention, and cohort health

  • Encourage spiritual, relational, and ministerial formation within cohorts

  • Assist with identification,  evaluation, and onboarding of new teaching sites and ministry partnerships

  • Serve as liaison between Talbot leadership and regional sites, including providing updates on site health, enrollment trends, and growth opportunities

  • Maintain clear communication with ministry partners and coordinators


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required; doctoral degree preferred in theology, ministry, leadership, communications, organizational leadership, or a related field.
