The Team

The Role

  • To provide Quality and Patient Safety governance oversight across the organisation, including quality and patient safety systems and processes, technical advice, data analysis and reporting to drive quality and patient safety within departments/services.
  • Access, monitor and evaluate clinical data and indicators as required and provide relevant advice and recommendations.
  • The position will work collaboratively with QPSS department-based roles to meet the requirements of the National Safety and Quality in Healthcare Standards (NSQHS), Aged Care Quality Standards, Clinical Care Standards, Advisories and other relevant standards or accreditation requirements. 

You will need

  • Experience in safety event / complaint management and investigations in the health care setting.
  • Knowledge of risk management processes and systems and understanding of the NSQHS Standards.
  • High level communication skills, including highly developed ability to plan, organise and set priorities in an environment subject to work pressures and change using demonstrated project management skills.

Details of appointment

Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 3 August 2027.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
