Job Overview

The Financial Analyst position is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and processing fiscal transactions within the School of Health, Georgetown University Medical Center, Georgetown University. This position reports directly to the Senior Business Manager, School of Health (SOH). The Financial Analyst position is the Cost Center Manager (CCM) for the School, assisting in oversight of all fiscal activities under the SOH Cost Centers. This position helps ensure that the transactions are reviewed and approved in accordance with GU policies and procedures, and within the approved budgeted amounts during a given fiscal year.

The duties include. but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the main Cost Center Manager (CCM) for SOH Cost Centers.

  • Serve as the Sponsored Research Liaison between the SOH Faculty and the Joint Office of Research Administration (JORA)

  • Serve as the Financial Administrator for the Center for Global Health Policy and Politics (GHPP)

Work Interactions

The Financial Analyst position works with the Senior Business Manager, SOH Leadership team, faculty, staff, and central finance office. Interactions may include detailed financial reporting, in person and online meetings, calls, and attendance at School events.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least five (5) years of work experience in a complex office environment that requires extreme attention to detail and working with sensitive information

  • Must be a responsible, careful, accurate, detail-oriented person with high aptitude for analytical thought, alert to how many systems can interact, how data can be collected, stabilized, tracked, updated, reported

  • Experience with complex enterprise-level administrative system(s) highly desirable

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$66,783.00 - $126,720.23

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
