Director, Revenue Operations, Venture Business Units
Location:Tysons Corner, VA (will require travel to various VBU offices as necessary)
Job Summary
Manages support functions essential to sales force productivity across the Venture Business Unit (VBU) portfolio. These include planning, reporting, sales process optimization, sales technology optimization, and sales program implementation.
The Alarm.com Venture Business Unit (VBU) portfolio consists of a unique and fast-growing group of companies which Alarm.com has either acquired or incubated (e.g., Building36, EnergyHub, Noonlight, PointCentral, Shooter Detection Systems and several others). These businesses range in size and organizational maturity and several of the businesses can benefit from hands-on, tactical support in sales operations. Your job will be to make sure that the entire portfolio (initially starting with a subset) is fully optimized in its use of its sales CRM and specifically helping to design and operationalize sales enablement tools and robust reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement a unified technology stack to drive sales and reporting activities across the VBU portfolio (strive for uniformity where possible)
- Own tech stack implementation including overseeing customization/integrations, data sanitization, dashboard creation and pipeline reporting
- Produce and review actionable and accurate sales reporting and sales tools for reps, managers, and sales leaders across VBU portfolio
- Proactively identify and implement improvements in current workflows and processes that will improve efficiency. Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks and inconsistencies
- Facilitate the sharing of leads and driving customer purchasing decisions for multiple ADC / VBU products and services
- Work with the Sales Leadership Teams and colleagues to enable accurate business planning, pipeline forecasting, and methodology adoption to track sales results with periodic metrics/KPI reporting and insights
- Create and maintain documentation on sales processes, policies, and relevant sales training materials and assist with onboarding new sales talent
- Partner with sales management and marketing to monitor and optimize the funnel conversion and pilot program processes
- Support Sales and Finance on Pricing and Deal Management initiatives to adhere to internal controls
- Partner with cross-functional groups to facilitate sharing of best practices, implementation of continuous improvements and ongoing effective sales training programs
- Perform comparative analyses ad reporting across the VBU portfolio and provide such reports to Alarm.com leadership
- Manage and lead a team of sales operations professionals (centralized and decentralized)
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to understand high-level sales strategies and translate them into system and process
- Analytical and demonstrated ability to extract key business insights through data analysis
- Proven Salesforce.com subject matter expert with experience creating reports, optimizing processes, training new hires, managing dashboards, and more
- Strong dashboard building skills and experience with reporting writing tools (PowerBI, Zoho, Tableau, QLIK)
- Experience leading pipeline management and funnel progression reporting
- Advanced Excel skills required
- 10+ years’ experience in Sales Operations, Sales and Business Process
- Bachelor’s/MBA degree or equivalent experience
