Education Program Senior Specialist

Serves as the Education Program Senior Specialist, for HAMMER, a NSF Engineering Research Center; Facilitates the implementation of all activities in the key areas of K-14 public outreach, teacher professional development, Research Experiences for Undergraduates, Research Experiences for Teachers, and HAMMER curriculum development (certificates, short course and courses) to ensure that they are aligned with industry and technical society’s needs; works with the Center Director and the Education External Advisory Board to develop HAMMER mission and goals; works to ensure the HAMMER program initiatives are in alignment with the outreach and research objectives of the HAMMER Engineering Research Center; assists with the identification of new funding and grant opportunities; facilitates communication between external stakeholders and the HAMMER Center; build relationships that will grow the HAMMER Center and attract new funding sources; Assists with the development of external collaboration efforts with minority serving institutions to identify promising graduate and undergraduate students while aligning industry and technical society needs with the outreach and training programs; works with the external evaluator with the development and statistical analysis of data for the HAMMER professional development and inclusion efforts; optimizes volunteer participation for HAMMER constituency in Center activities and workshops; serves as primary representative between the HAMMER Outreach and Inclusion and other OSU units, NSF, and external collaborating organizations and institutions; contributes to the preparation of HAMMER annual report; other duties as assigned.

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree in Communication, Education, Business Operations or an equivalent degree.

Bachelors Degree in Communication, Education, Business Operations or an equivalent degree.

Required Experience:

4 years of relevant work experience required. At least 4 years of experience in collaborating with external stakeholders. At least 4 years of experience working with community outreach or training programs.

4-8 years of relevant work experience desired. At least 4+ years of experience in collaborating with external stakeholders; At least 4+ years of experience working with community outreach or training programs.

Additional Information:

Pay range: $51,000-67,000

The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
