Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to provide exceptional enterprise-level customer service. The primary goal is to enhance service success, improve customer satisfaction, boost retention, and increase profitability. This role will involve working within the MES Technical Services department, overseeing the hands-on installation of equipment, managing equipment startups, and performing on-site service calls.

What will you be doing?

• Oversee the installation and startup processes, managing subcontractors effectively.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
• Train end users on system operation and maintenance.
• Provide service to existing customers during service calls and warranty evaluations.
• Offer telephone and email support to customers while in the office.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Manufacturing, Controls, Engineering) while on-site or in the office.
• Align workflow with project schedules.
• Diagnose technical issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Generate detailed and timely service reports for each project and support case.
• Adhere to company procedures and protocols in all fieldwork.
• Work closely with the technical team and share information across the organization.
• Understand customer requirements and provide suitable recommendations and briefings.
• Foster positive relationships with customers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Who are You?

• Minimum of a Technical Degree or Military Training
• Strong mechanical background
• Solid electrical knowledge
• Basic understanding of chemistry
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience required
• Familiarity with PLC and Allen Bradley systems is highly desirable
• Position requires frequent travel, ranging from one day to over two weeks at a time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary

What competencies will you need?

• In-depth knowledge of the industry and product lines
• Proficient in PLC programming
• Experience with HMI programming
• Skilled in AutoCAD
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach
• Able to communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues to meet project requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally
• Exceptional time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet agreed-upon goals
