Plumbing & Piping Estimator

Minimum Requirements:

• Detailed understanding of Plumbing Systems
• Basic understanding of Piping Systems
• Ability to read, analyze, and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, memos, blue prints, specifications, contract documents, control drawings, technical procedure manuals, equipment specifications, and governmental regulations
• Proficient in Estimating Software (preferred QuoteSoft Pipe)
• 5+ years’ experience in Design/Build and/or Estimating for mechanical contracting i.e. HVAC, Plumbing/Piping, etc.
• 5+ years’ plumbing construction field experience preferred
• Journeyman Plumbing License is required
• Unencumbered US Driver’s License
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required

The Plumbing and Piping Estimator reviews schematics and blueprints for various projects.    The Plumbing and Piping Estimator works to gather, calculate, and compile data for use in all phases of the estimating process and works with the engineering department on design build projects.  The Plumbing and Piping Estimator maintains current information pertaining to suppliers and contractors for estimating/bidding activities.  The Plumbing and Piping Estimator supports the total quality effort by identifying and responding to the needs of internal and external clients, 100% of the time.

Key Job Duties:

• Gather data and create accurate estimates for 60% Design Build and 40% Plan Spec projects.
• Coordinate with internal departments, clients, and suppliers to ensure timely and precise estimates.
• Maintain accurate records of suppliers, contractors, and project details to support organizational goals.
• Collaborate on bidding strategies, design documents, and project reviews to align with client needs.
• Conduct site visits, ensure safety practices, and comply with all regulations for successful project execution.
