Project Art Coordinator - Wynn Design & Development
Wynn ResortsAbout the role
Job Description
The Project Art Coordinator plays a pivotal role in our organization, collaborating closely with the Vice President of Creative to oversee the management of our expanding collection of fine art, exquisite antiques, and objets d'art. This collection is destined for display across our global properties, with a specific focus on Wynn Al Marjan Island. Key responsibilities encompass maintaining meticulous records of acquisitions; cultivating relationships with galleries, auction houses, and antique dealers; and facilitating purchases in partnership with our internal procurement department. Additionally, the Project Art Coordinator will establish strong ties with auction house representatives to ensure clear communication and secure bids and minimums, particularly in cases where the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) or VP of Creative cannot attend auctions in real-time.
This role also involves the supervision, coordination, and guidance of specialty vendors, partners, artisans, and art consultants on behalf of the VP of Creative. It is imperative that the Project Art Coordinator effectively conveys our creative concepts, artistic subtleties, and exacting standards for quality and design integrity. An innate artistic flair and design sensibility are essential, as the role calls for the ability to illustrate and communicate concepts through drawings, sketches, and illustrations, whether produced by hand or digitally. In addition, a profound knowledge of art and design history is expected to enable the Project Art Coordinator to deliver well-conceived solutions, reducing the need for constant management from the VP of Creative.
