Position Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Housing and Residential Education, the Community Director is a full-time, live-in, position that provides leadership and direction to a first year student, residential building of fewer than 325 students. The incumbent is responsible for managing all aspects of a residence hall including supervision of student staff, management of building facilities, developmental contact with residents and overseeing judicial, educational and social outreach.

• Master’s Degree in Student Personnel or related field preferred

- Experience with Residence Hall Association (RHA)

Demonstrate a working knowledge of developing and nurturing a residential community, which includes working with campus agencies, along with their services and functions, in order to provide academic and personal support to residential students.
Work cooperatively with students to ensure an environment, which displays respect for the rights and privacy of others and promotes consideration of individual needs in a group living environment
