Job Summary
The Global Real Estate team is working hard on the 10 for the win strategy through opening new stores, relocations, and optimization of existing network. As a member of the Global Real Estate team, you will drive our strategic Market Optimization process to support our organizational goals.
Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and ownership of our portfolio decisions. Key attributes of the candidate are a proven ability to lead cross functional teams, project management, effective communication, strategic thinking and analytical skills, with an ownership mindset.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate markets and determine the strategic outcomes for store locations.
- Executive Collaboration: Coordinate meetings, track project status, and present strategic insights and results to executive leadership.
- Tool Development: Develop and refine tools and templates to enhance the market optimization process.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with Global Real Estate, Data and Analytics, Business Intelligence, and other functional groups to identify and deploy analytical tools that streamline processes and improve strategic insights.
- Competitive Analysis: Lead competitive analysis and track competitive openings, closings, and M&A activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Strategic Reporting: Build comprehensive reports, develop presentations, and craft compelling storylines for strategic initiatives.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the strategic goals of the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required. Major in business administration, analytics, finance, real estate, or similar field preferred
- 12+ years work experience with real estate, analytics, program management, or finance.
- Strong knowledge of real estate and construction process, experience developing market level strategies
- Proficient in data analysis using various tools and statistical packages
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- The person must be able to learn and adapt to the changing landscape and implement change management
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and continually prioritize and re-prioritize tasks as new projects are assigned
- Must possess strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams
- 7+ years working with a national or international retailer
