Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): The Lion’s Pause Coordinators chair the Lion’s Pause Executive Board and are responsible for the administration and coordination of the operations and policies of the Lion’s Pause. Each Coordinator will have a different area of focus and specialization within the Pause.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Co-lead the Lion’s Pause Executive Team in concert with the Pause Business and Venue Coordinators in the facilitation of meetings, support of team members, team development opportunities, space development and other related tasks.
  • Recruit, select, train, and evaluate three (3) Tech Managers, two (2) Security Managers, and one (1) Scheduling Manager.
  • Meet weekly with the Pause Business and Venue Coordinators and Assistant Director of Programmatic Initiatives.
  • Oversee the official Lion’s Pause calendar in concert with the Scheduling Manager in accordance with the Lion’s Pause scheduling policy.
    • Fill in for scheduling manager when necessary
  • Facilitate weekly Lion’s Pause scheduling meetings with relevant Pause and campus partners.
  • Maintain three weekly office hours in the Lion’s Pause Coordinator office.
  • Represent the Lion’s Pause to College and SGA bodies as requested.
  • Facilitate the hiring and training processes for the following year’s Lion’s Pause Co-Coordinators in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Buntrock Commons and Director of Student Activities. 
  • Facilitate the ongoing assessment of the Lions’ Pause, to include feedback from the student body. Feedback is to be solicited through a variety of means including but not limited to surveys, open forums, and tabling.

 

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) 

  • Previous experience as a staff member in a relevant Pause area or Pause Executive Team experience is preferred.
