This is a position with WM Technologies, LLC and affiliate of SPX Enterprises, LLC, which manufactures and sells Weil-McLain® branded products. Weil-McLain® is a leading North American brand of hydronic comfort heating systems for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings since 1881.
How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the Shipping & Receiving department by coordinating warehousing and shipping logistics activity for the Weil-McLain operation. The position coordinates inbound and outbound logistical operations including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products. The Logistics Coordinator assists with the coordination of schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Technical Excellence/Customer Support:
- Assist other Weil-McLain locations in freight routing, as requested.
- Communicate with Customer Service to ensure satisfactory shipping/delivery attainment levels.
- Maintain and manage priority list for all orders on the schedule.
- Support shipping staging and auditing process.
- Information/Communication:
- Schedule truckload and stop-off truckload shipments, at minimum freight expense, using automated software program to consolidate orders and build truckloads.
- Improve customer transportation service through selection of routes, carriers, and loading techniques to ensure delivery to customers in an efficient and timely manner.
- Arrange with carriers to ensure availability of equipment for scheduled loading and delivery.
- Schedule UPS/FedEx orders as requested for emergency shipments. Cancel & reschedule UPS/FedEx orders for product not available as scheduled.
- Arrange for transportation of export shipments.
- Documentation and Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain files for required legal period (Freight Bills, Bill of Lading, and related documents).
