Position Specific Description

Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) is the largest rate regulated utility company in the United States serving more than five million customer accounts across the state of Florida.  FPL is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc., headquartered in Juno Beach, FL, a clean energy company widely recognized for its efforts in sustainability, ethics and diversity.

 

Florida Power & Light Company’s Customer Solutions & Field Experience Department is seeking an Energy Solutions Consultant to join their team to service our West Coast in the Naples area. The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish speaking preferred) and has a Technical or two-year Associates degree.

Job Overview

Employees in this role lead daily operations in support of Business and Home Energy Services, Sales, Demand Response, Contractor Compliance and community advocacy.  This role is responsible for the daily application of policies and procedures to achieve energy efficiency and sales goals, meet program standards and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Under limited supervision:

  • Assists with leading critical daily operations of FPL 
  • Maintains extensive knowledge of technical products and energy efficiency programs to develop and promote regional and enterprise wide sales campaigns to achieve sales goals
  • Manages mobile work management system
  • Interacts with all levels of the organization to drive process improvement execution
  • Performs activities in the field
  • Handles escalated customer issues regarding all programs and damage claims
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 5+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree
  • Technical Certifications/Trade Schools in areas like HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.
