Job purpose:
Reporting into the President of Janes US, the Global Head of Strategic Partnerships will be working with the broader business to identify and execute strategic partnerships with technology companies that will dramatically grow the size and profitability of the business. This is a senior strategic leadership role with responsibility for monitoring the space for content, commercial technology partnership opportunities, developing and communicating plans for mutually beneficial opportunities and motivate potential technology partners to engage in joint got to market offering partnerships.
How you will contribute at Janes:
Working with President of Janes US to grow revenue and profitability of the global business through strategic partnerships. You will be responsible for leading, pursuing and executing strategic partnerships within technology products.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage the strategy for growth through strategic partnerships across the globe—encompassing the EMEA and APAC markets.
- Identify potential technology partner companies that provide synergistic capabilities and technologies, develop relationships with partner companies, establish goals for strategic partnerships and ensure the success of strategic partnerships.
- Deliver ACV and revenue growth as a direct result of the strategic partnership campaign.
- Continually monitor the business intelligence space to identify and track desirable potential strategic partnerships with strong strategic fit with the Janes business.
- Create and present business case analysis to support the creation and development of new strategic partnerships.
- Work together with Product Management team to define and realize product synergies between Janes and our strategic technology partners. –Responsible for developing the goals, structures, and requirements for execution of the technology partnerships.
- Articulate the success criteria of partnerships
- Be responsible for negotiating, executing partnership agreements—in concert with the Product, Sales and Legal teams.
- Be responsible for managing ongoing relationships with the technology provider (leveraging other Janes teams as needed)
- Represent Janes in industry events and participates in activities to build brand awareness and community engagement.
Requirements
The ideal skills and experience for this role are:
- Senior executive with experience in managing strategy around strategic growth technology partnerships—with proven examples of successful technology partnerships
- Domain knowledge of the applications of Intelligence within both the Intelligence Communities and the Departments of Defense. - preferable
- Previous experience operating within the United States Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense—experience supporting Five Eyes/NATO organizations would be preferable.
- Successful candidates need the intellectual capacity and energy to work with some of the industry’s leading technology companies..
- Strong desire for managing growth and change.
- Candidate will possess superior communication skills, a history of progressive professional development, a consistent work history and experience in the defense business intelligence market preferable.
- Understanding of technology and data analytics a plus.
- Able and willing to travel to key markets; including US, EMEA and Asia.
