Field Account Rep Supervisor

Job Summary

The Field Account Rep Supervisor is directly responsible for providing daily support to the division Account Representatives and Field Sales Representatives. Assess daily work, turn-times to Sales, balance team workload, identify training needs, provide or solicit needed training, review performance metrics and goals, formal evaluations, coach & counsel as needed. While adhering to SOP’s, identifying process improvements for increasing margin, efficiencies and continued high quality service to our Sales Representatives and Customers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for own territory and for picking up overflow during periods of increased workflow and/or ooo coverage, completing all necessary tasks as requested and required by Sales.

• May be assigned direct support for specific projects for prolonged periods of time. Support includes quoting, ECN review/approvals, Rep to Acct Rep Territory management, UAT, financials, coordinating samples, and ad hoc reporting.

• Provide daily support to Acct Rep team through 1:1, team meetings, and prioritizing with the team.

• Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes.

• Responsible for assessing daily work of Acct Reps and ensuring turn times are met. Deploying new process/systems to team.

• Strategic approach to finding, attracting, and retaining highly qualified employees.

• Responsible for determining and tracking employee metrics such as meeting published turn times, quote activity, work per hour and accuracy. Will be tracked by month end data, weekly work date log, audit reports, Quality logs and field feedback. This will also be reported to upper management.

• Support Acct Reps with daily questions to support Sales requests.

• Engage in direct interaction with field and respond to escalation calls/inquiries.

• Identifies and defines problems through the gathering of relevant information leading to the development, evaluation, implementation and monitors alternative solutions.

• Make quoting recommendations to maximize margin/lower cost.

• Ensures newer Acct Reps work is reviewed for accuracy upon completion.

• Leads sales/external customer meetings and training sessions.

• Main point of contact for ad hoc reporting requests. Provides accurate data and clear direction to Acct Rep for Sales requests by defining and prioritizing requests.

• Responsible for being an active member of leadership and advocate for Acct Rep team, which includes attending meetings, sharing knowledge to necessary teams, providing process improvements, participating and leading cross-departmental activities, evaluating new systems/tools as needed and providing detailed suggestions on improvements to existing I.S. systems & Citizen I.T. tools.

Required Experience

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience

• At least 3 years of industry-related experience or sales/service industry experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Excel – Advanced level skill

• Power Point– Intermediate level skill

• Word – Intermediate level skill

• Bachelor’s degree in business related field

Work Experience

• Previous management experience

• Experience with Quote System, Access, SAP and/or AS400

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$79,560.00 - $115,440.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
