As the SharePoint Solutions Architect on our Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Knowledge Management (KM) Support Team you will provide technical leadership for a team of developers, data analysts, and system administrators who provide the operation, maintenance, enhancement, and development support for knowledge, data, and analytics management within DTRA. This effort is a vital initiative within DTRA designed to develop, deploy, and maintain mission-critical IT solutions that enhance collaboration, data management, process streamlining, and decision-making for DTRA. This contract provides the necessary expertise and experience needed to support the Agency’s growing need for specialized systems, software, security, cloud, and KM solutions. Specific support is needed for the enterprise SharePoint and Business Intelligence Dashboard knowledge sharing systems.
Location: Ft. Belvoir, VA with time spent at NT Concepts HQ in Tyson’s Corner, VA. (Some telework may be an option).
Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Solutions Architect to join our team. As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SharePoint and PowerApps solutions that align with our organization's business goals and requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and developers to deliver high-quality solutions that optimize productivity and enhance collaboration within our organization.
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Design and develop SharePoint and PowerApps solutions based on business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, Engineers, and Administrators ensuring best practices and standards are followed throughout the solution development lifecycle.
- Design and optimize SharePoint sites, libraries, and lists for efficient content management and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain SharePoint workflows and custom forms using PowerApps to streamline business processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement using SharePoint and PowerApps and provide recommendations for solution enhancements.
- Perform system configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of SharePoint and PowerApps environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Conduct regular system maintenance including patching, updates, and performance tuning.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SharePoint and PowerApps features, trends, and best practices, and provide recommendations for their adoption within the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams, to seamlessly integrate SharePoint and PowerApps solutions with other systems and technologies.
- Train and provide guidance to end-users on utilizing SharePoint and PowerApps effectively, promoting user adoption and self-service capabilities.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, design documents, SOPs, and user guides.
- Mentor junior team members and help them grow their technical skills.
Experience and Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of overall IT experience (13+ years of experience in lieu of a college degree) with at least 5 years of related experience as a SharePoint/PowerApps Solutions Architect or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of SharePoint and PowerApps development, configuration, and administration.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint and PowerApps best practices, governance, and security.
- Proficient in SharePoint workflows, forms development using PowerApps, and integration with other systems.
- Experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises versions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power BI.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solutions Architect Expert (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
