The New Worlds Reading Partnership Associate manages the daily operations of the New Worlds Reading Initiative and coordinates service delivery so that client needs, program goals and contract objectives are effectively met. Overall, the New Worlds Reading Partnership Associate contributes to the CHS high performance culture by exhibiting our values and providing quality results that position CHS as the leader in delivering proactive behavioral health, case management, community and early childhood solutions for children and families.

Primary Job Functions

1. Partnership development and program management of the New Worlds Reading Initiative.

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of reading programs, ensuring they align with our mission and meet the needs of target communities.
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the initiative to include project management, coordination of communication, reporting and fiscal management.
  • May supervise a small team while taking on direct service activities.
  • Plan, host, and facilitate family education workshops focused on supporting their children with literacy skills, as needed.
  • Collect data, report on progress, and submit quarterly and annual reports toward goal attainment.
  • Manage financial aspects of each affiliate, including requests for funding and other resources, submitting for reimbursement, and more as needed.
  • Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and participant recruitment.
  • Monitor program performance, gather feedback, and implement improvements to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Attend meetings with the New Worlds Reading Initiative partners and the University of Florida.
  • Fulfill ongoing and annual reporting requirements.
  • Maintain a strong network of stakeholders and regularly communicate the value of our reading initiatives.
  • Create strategies to increase the number of attendees at workshops.
  • Foster a sense of community among program participants, partners, and volunteers, encouraging a shared commitment to literacy.

2. Recruit, develop and lead a team capable of supporting CHS performance and growth strategies (complying with COA Standard TS, when appropriate), while fostering an engaging, positive work environment.

    • Recruit, supervise and support team members and foster their professional development, including the transfer of knowledge obtained through training.
    • Establish annual team goals and objectives; track and report results.
    • Coach, support and evaluate team member performance, taking corrective action if needed.
    • Deliver timely communication through regular management and team meetings.
    • Comply and confirm compliance with CHS code of conduct, policies, practices and other legal obligations.
