Volvo Cars is seeking a Quality Operations Supervision to support our Quality Operations team at our Ridgeville, South Carolina plant.
The Quality Supervisor is directly responsible for the planning and execution of the product quality evaluation and validation, within your assigned area of responsibility and reporting structure. As the Quality Supervisor you will issue remarks to the concerned units/area’s. You will be reviewing the results of the Quality Check Stations, owned by the production teams, in the way to fulfill our common commitments and targets, within the own responsibility area, and secure the fulfilment of the Quality Operations of the Complete Vehicle (keep the lines going with data driven judgement).
Principal Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop all online and offline Quality gates in the VCCH facility and connected warehouses.
- Produce short and strategic targets in purpose to develop and make the operation more effective.
- Identify and develop the staff’s excellence with in the responsibility area and secure right resources are available to run the operation in an efficient way.
- Responsible that all inspections are executed and reported according to agreements.
- To create and maintain the “safety first” mind-set for the staff.
- Support the team developing according to VCCH quality directions
Job Specifications:
- Minimum 5 years manufacturing leadership experience required; quality experience preferred.
- Data driven with passion for problem solving and developing people.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job such as lifting and moving up to 50lbs., standing for extended periods, bending, squatting or kneeling.
- Availability to work any shift (weekends, holidays and overtime).
- The ability to read and interpret manufacturing specifications or work instructions.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and satisfactory background check.
