Overview:
Burrow Global is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior I&E Designer to join our team in Deer Park, Texas. As a Junior I&E Designer, you will operate under detailed instructions and review, providing essential technical knowledge and performing tasks to support our services. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the development and execution of I&E (Instrument and Electrical) designs, contributing to the competitiveness of Burrow Global within the global marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of 2D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings, including instrument location plans, isometrics, and sketches.
  • Learn to analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to complex problems based on project objectives and guidelines.
  • Develop and review design specifications, including design criteria, under supervision.
  • Review drawings and vendor equipment documentation for compliance with project requirements and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist with the development and checking of drawings, including instrument index and location plans.
  • Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.
  • Gain exposure to different areas of the I&E design process and develop a strong understanding of technical design principles.

Basic Job Requirements:

  • A combination of education and directly related experience equivalent to 1-2 years.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a time-conscious and efficient manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in a technical field of study.
  • Basic knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, MicroStation).
  • Familiarity with fieldwork and practical design experience.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and presentation programs.
