Senior Sales Specialist

The Team: This is an exciting opportunity to join the Risk & Valuation Services (RVS) Revenue organization, a focused and dynamic team with the opportunity to build on the last few years of significant growth and product development within the Business, and take those growth opportunities to market.

What’s in it for you: This is a critical role in the RVS Revenue organization.

As a Senior Sales Specialists you will manage a small team demonstrating the growth potential of the RVS suite with dedicated sales focus.

You will be an ambassador for RVS within S&P Global in the region, and externally in the market. Representing the voice of the customer you will have input into product and commercial strategy and as such will have senior leadership exposure in strategy and planning sessions.

As the RVS business grows in the region, there will be opportunities for growth as a Senior Sales Specialist.

The complimentary nature of RVS products with other solutions across MI, means you will have opportunities to build relationships with stakeholders across the MI division and across S&P Global.

Responsibilities and Impact:

The RVS business is a significant contributor to the overall growth of the Market Intelligence (MI) Division. The varied product suite addresses client challenges in Credit Risk, Market Risk, Third Party Risk through its data, research, platforms and models, and services clients across Financial Institutions, Corporates and Governments. We are at the forefront of solving new challenges for clients as the market and regulatory landscape continues to change.

As a Sales Specialist you will be responsible for hitting revenue targets through expanding existing products and selling new products across Credit, Global Insights and, Data, Valuations and Risk Analytics.

Within your territory you will have exposure and responsibility to interact with prospects and clients across commercial segments including Investment Managers, Investment Banks, Private Equity firms, Commercial Banks, Insurance Companies, Governments and Corporations, demonstrating how the RVS suite can underpin their critical  business workflows.

The RVS Sales Specialist are supported by a number of stakeholder teams including Product Specialists, Customer Success, Prospecting, Marketing and Client Services.

Specific Responsibilities of a Senior Sales Specialist will include:

  • Meet individual and team growth goal / quota which can be achieved through selling products to existing and whitespace across the RVS suite:
    • Credit
    • Global Insights
    • Data, Valuations and Risk Analytics
  • Build and execute on book of business/territory strategy and identify opportunities for growth and expansion
  • Manage and mentor as small team of sales specialists in region.
  • Build strong connection with other Market Intelligence stakeholders in region (e.g. Prospecting, credit customer success, and credit client services) 
  • Be an internal ambassador in region for RVS across Business Units and divisions, collaborating closely with the Account Managers and Desktop Sales Specialists covering Latin America.
  • Drive and track cross Business Unit, Cross Divisional and Synergy referrals and campaigns in region.
  • Build relationship with local regulatory bodies to understand regulatory landscape and how the RVS suite can meet regulatory needs in region
  • Adopt structured and disciplined approach to tracking activity, pipeline accuracy and forecasting
  • Embrace a customer focused, diagnostic selling approach
  • Partner closely with other internal stakeholders, such as Product Management, Market Development, Legal and Client Support teams.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $102,387 to $178,027. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
