Who We Are & What You’ll Do

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI), through its employees, enhances the quality of life in Denver by efficiently delivering effective, high quality, safe and equitable public infrastructure, and services.

DOTI’s Commitment to Equity:

  • DOTI is committed to providing attention and resources to the areas, assets, and people of the city with the greatest need through equitable contracting, equitable investments, and equitable workforce development.

  • DOTI’s culture revolves around four key principles: (1) Invest in Our People, (2) Operate with Discipline, (3) Use Data to Drive Decisions, and (4) Deliver Results.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) Interagency Missions Division (IA) is made up of two distinct teams. The IA Project Delivery Team, which oversees the implementation of vertical design and construction projects for agencies throughout the City, and The DOTI Facilities Planning Team, which centralizes the advocacy of DOTI’s own facilities’ physical space needs and asset management approach. This position is seeking an Agency Project Coordinator on the DOTI Facilities Team to represent multiple DOTI Divisions in their improvements to the physical working environment in which DOTI employees operate. The asset management, life cycle, and space planning coordination of these DOTI buildings is critical to understand the priorities and needs of the physical environment – this will be a primary focus of this position.

The Agency Project Coordinator largely serve two main duties:

  • During major construction projects (implemented in tandem with the IA Project Delivery Team), act as a DOTI Owner’s Representative by advocating for divisional interests regarding space planning, renovation, and or construction of general improvement projects to DOTI’s own buildings and spaces.

  • This position may also take on smaller planning projects, that do not require construction services within DOTI Facilities, such as master planning, programming, structural evaluations, facility condition assessments, and minor repairs.

Other duties may include:

  • Advocating for proper budget to carry out the improvements at DOTI Facilities

  • Space planning and inventory assessment of DOTI buildings, storage areas, equipment, and assets

  • Executive level communication to consolidate and prioritize multiple DOTI divisional needs, and/or competing interests in shared spaces

  • Field visits to DOTI campuses throughout the City to evaluate space constraints, challenges, damage, reconfigurations, and new ideas

  • Coordination with other agencies in shared spaces to identify the highest and best use of the space for Citywide objectives

  • Serve as main point of contact between DOTI Divisions and IA Delivery Team.  Facilitates effective communication and manages all project-related correspondence.
