About the role

JOB SUMMARY: 

Officer SRT is responsible for providing highly visible professional security to the Property to complement existing security programs.  Officer  SRT must act as a visual deterrent, intervene and respond to all levels of security and potential emergency needs including acts or threats of violence, emergencies, and life safety threats. They mitigate incidents through early detection and/or disruption of criminal conduct or other undesirable activity. All Officer SRT duties are to be performed in accordance with enterprise and property policies, practices and procedures. This position requires specialized training, to include regular firearms training, and rigorous physical conditioning standards.

The SRT Supervisor will assist and liaise effectively with Caesars Entertainment Security personnel, law enforcement agencies and local partners as requested and will perform all duties in accordance with Caesars Entertainment policies and procedures, and within the realm of the Caesars Entertainment mission statement. The SRT Supervisor will ensure proper deployment strategies and monitor performance of SRT Officers under span of control.     ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

At the direction of the SVP of Enterprise Security of his/her designee, the SRT Supervisor will maintain a high-visibility uniformed or, as operational needs may require, covert presence and be responsible for the following:

  • Proactively identify and respond to emergency situations including in-progress acts of violence, crisis, weapons incidents, explosive incidents, natural disasters and a wide range of issues posing a hazard to lives and/or property using the appropriate escalation of force by following established protocol.
  • Assist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures.
  • Render appropriate first aid to injured persons and follow established protocol for reporting injuries.
  • Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.
  • Ability to respond to direction and/or orders from supervisory personnel, especially in the context of an active shooter, assaulter other similar situation.
  QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • Must possess a current state of NV CCW or HR-218 certification.
  • Creditable experience; as a law enforcement officer or through service as a military police officer or on a military special operations team as an operator specializing in counter-terrorism or dignitary protection or in other work such as a Special/Security/ Police Officer (PO) that provided the required knowledge and skills of law enforcement operations, practices, techniques, and judicious use of force, to include firearms.
  • Graduation from an accredited law enforcement academy or comparable course of instruction.
  • Experience in making judgments based on the application of experience, training, directions, rules, regulations, and laws and involved in maintaining order and protecting life and property.
  • Documented experience in Use of Force decision-making in a public facing capacity.
  • A working knowledge in the area of investigations; possess investigative and analytical skills.
  • Must be tactful, maintain confidences, and foster an ethical work environment, prevent inappropriate behavior by co-workers, handle all situations honestly.
  • Able to communicate clearly with staff, management, and the public through oral and written word.
  • Must be able to assume a role of authority as necessary in a high-risk crisis, exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues, review facts, weigh options, delegate responsibility, and empower associates to make decisions, provide constructive feedback.
  • Must show respect and be able to adapt to different values, cultures, or backgrounds when dealing with difficult people or situations.  Build and maintain long term associations based on trust, help others.
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Must attend and pass all recurring mandatory legal, tactical, defensive tactics, first aid, CPR, firearms and other training as a condition of continued employment.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Set an example and be a role model / leader for all Security personnel through observance of all departmental policies and procedures.
