ELECTRICAL LEADER
Basic Function: Assist Supervisor in daily activities of department.
Duties and Responsibilities: Organized by SQDCH – Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Human.
Safety
- Follow and enforce safe working practices throughout the plant and all customer sites.
- Responsible for the proper execution of safety procedures/ training as outlined and identified by Fori Automation management, MIOSHA, and OSHA. Participate as required as a member of a Safety Team.
- Follow and enforce good housekeeping practices throughout the plant.
Quality
- Assure good craftsmanship on jobs that are being built under his/her direction.
- Complete as required in process QC check sheets.
- Complete as required QC audits.
Delivery
- Man power planning and coordination to enable timely delivery of jobs in conjunction with Electric/Pneumatic Assembly Supervisor. Understanding of time to complete tasks and supervision to achieve. Know and understand due dates for equipment and prioritize work accordingly.
- Provide feedback on job status to Electric/Pneumatic Assembly Supervisor.
- Direct Electricians in daily job assignments.
- Assist in start-up/de-bug of equipment.
- Audit received incoming material/marked-up BOMs, dispense to builders, provide proper storage for all incoming material required for job(s). Feedback to supervisor material status.
- Work with Controls Engineers to correct any problems with design of the machine/controls.
- Recommend as appropriate work methods and/or materials that will improve existing designs.
- Travel as needed to assist in installations, de-bug, tryout, or problem solving at customer locations.
- Assist in packing and loading of machines for shipment.
- Fill-in where required for absences.
- Order material and follow-up with Receiving when required.
Cost
- Recommend, initiate, and follow-up as needed on engineering changes and document according to ECO procedures. Document changes per ECO process using the kiosk located on the shop floor. Only applicable when the system has been set-up for Electrical prints. Mark-up/Red-Line schematics as needed.
- Work on continuous improvement projects as needed.
Human
- Make recommendations to Mechanical Assembly Supervisor on personnel selection.
- Provide training and assistance to new employees. Support new employee
