The Production Support Developer is a hybrid role responsible for both developing and maintaining high-quality software systems and ensuring the smooth operation of business-critical applications in a cloud-based production environment for a leading dental and vision insurance provider.
This position requires a strong foundation in software development and a proactive approach to production support. The ideal candidate will:
- Design, implement, and maintain software solutions, contribute independently to projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize development processes.
- Provide production support, including advanced troubleshooting, incident resolution, and proactive monitoring to ensure system stability and performance.
- Collaborate across teams, acting as a bridge between development, infrastructure, operations, and business stakeholders to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
- Utilize insurance or claims management experience to better understand business needs and deliver effective technical solutions.
This role offers a dynamic blend of hands-on coding and operational oversight, ideal for someone who thrives in both development and support environments.

Functional:
- Develop, test, and deploy software solutions based on project requirements.

- Participate in deployment and post-release support for new application features and updates.
- Maintain and update application documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Ensure compliance with SLA/OLA and reporting of production incidents and root cause analysis.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 production support coverage.
- Maintaining and updating documentation related to production systems and troubleshooting.
Core:
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret application logs.
- Proficiency in SQL for data investigation and validation.
- Experience developing and integrating .NET APIs
- Ability to work independently and manage deliverables.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks (C, C#, JavaScript)
- Expertise in designing scalable and maintainable system architectures.
