This position reports directly to the IEEE Global Sales Manager. The overall purpose of the position is to act as a team lead to support various business development and revenue generating activities for the IEEE Global Sales team.
The role focuses primarily on supporting activities for global accounts, involving cross-team collaboration and territory alignment with North American, Inside Sales & International Sales Teams. Position works under consultative direction of Sales Leadership to identify and develop & execute strategies that drive sales goals. Contributes measurably to the digital transformation of sales by facilitating a robust sales enablement environment through technology, training, and use of data & analytics to develop actionable insights.
Position acts a liaison for the Global Sales Support team and will have one direct report for the Corporate Sales Support staff

Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales projects from concept to completion incorporating stakeholder needs among sales teams and departments
- Identifies opportunities for business development by communicating customer needs and aligning sales processes to serve the buyer journey
- Oversee sales programs such as Target Account Selling and strategic account plans in accordance with yearly territory goals
- Responsible for procurement, implementation, training and best practices of sales enablement tools & technologies
- Identifies best ways to use new and existing technologies, including applications, data platforms and business systems to enable sales team
- Strategically works to improve and optimize sales processes in a methodical manner through training & technology; organizes tools and resources for effective selling practices
- Develops sales training programs and best practices through analysis, instructional design, delivery, implementation, and evaluation.
- Utilizes knowledge & experience of social media integrated into Sales & Marketing plans
- Implements custom marketing campaigns as needed and create member/author outreach campaigns
- Identifies prospects for new companies or engages with existing companies not touched by another sales person in a period of 12 months and implements prospecting assignments with field sales to grow new business
- Creates effective sales cadences with proven success measures to engage contacts at prospect accounts in an effort to generate sales opportunities
- Tracks ROI of sales tools and sales activities such as open emails, responses, qualified contacts that generate new business
- Participate in planning sales meetings and events to generate a positive sales culture and spirit of cooperation while coordinating sales activities and groups within the sales team environment
- Act as a data-driven catalyst for the IEEE Global sales team
Qualifications
Education- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Business, Marketing or other related field Req
- 4-7 years Business experience in a marketing, sales, licensing or product management role Req
- Strong skills in communication, project management and business operations required. Must have exceptional oral communication skills to be able to interacts on a constant basis with a variety of constituents ranging from IEEE staff, our online clients and customers and prospects as well as other service providers
- Required to present regularly to various audiences and must be able to clearly articulate key messages with and without the use of powerpoint or projector
