Systems Administrator (Windows)

About this Role:

The Windows Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, operations and maintenance of TOMS global server and storage infrastructure for offices and data centers. In this role, the Windows Systems Administrator will manage the performance, reliability, capacity and security to ensure robust and secure systems provide the necessary availability for business operations.

Leveraging a mindset of continuous process improvement, the Windows Systems Administrator will continue to design and evolve TOMS routine processes for server, storage and backup operations including patching and recovery. Additionally, leveraging security tools, this role will monitor for vulnerabilities or potential breaches in the related infrastructure areas. The Windows Systems Administrator will collaborate across TOMS teams and external vendors to align operational and project related work.

What You'll Do:

• Operate and manage cloud-based (AWS) infrastructure for applications/services.  

• Management of a hybrid on-premises and Azure based Active Directory, including identity, ADCS, and mail flow

• Perform device upgrades/patches as needed for security & support

• Monitor environment for vulnerabilities, viruses, intrusions. Proactively mitigate potential security weaknesses

• Design, implement and operate server, storage and backup services including cloud, virtual and physical systems.

• Provide production support for all server and storage devices within TOMS global infrastructure. Use monitoring solutions to proactively ensure reliable, high-performance delivery of systems services.

• Ensure the integrity and reliability of email services, including spam, malware and phishing protection.

• Operate comprehensive monitoring capacity management solutions to ensure proactive problem detection and robust service availability throughout the enterprise.

• Operate backup and restoration capability to protect information assets and ensure business continuity and disaster recovery.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives.

• Document system configurations, processes and procedures.

• On-call support for troubleshooting enterprise systems incidents off-hours & weekends

• Management and maintenance of VMware environments

• Review invoicing for TOMS owned server, storage and backup systems vendors.

• SSL certificate management for internal and external domains.

• Little travel expected.  May be called upon to go to Europe or Asian with advance notice for trips of less than 2 week duration.

What You Bring:

• 3 - 5 years of Windows admin implementation, management, troubleshooting.

• 3 - 5 years of Office 365, Azure AD, and Active Directory administration including MFA, SSO and AD Connect.

• 3 - 5 years of Comprehensive server, storage and security design and operational knowledge.

• 3 - 5 years of Windows Server Application Support (File Serving, IIS, SQL Server, DNS, DHCP, etc.)

• 3- 5 years of Enterprise application operation through hosted or cloud infrastructure.  AWS, Azure and VMWare

• Strong work ethic, desire to seek opportunity to assist versus needing to be told exactly what to do.

• Self-disciplined, with good attention to detail.

• Ability to learn technical terms sufficient to coordinate ordering and support.

• Experience creating, maintaining server and systems documentation.

• Experience with SAP, Tableau, and Mimecast.

• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
