The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Heritage Brand Storyteller to join our team in Auburn, WA or Berkeley, MO.

The Heritage Brand Storyteller brings Boeing’s history to life for employees, customers, media, and the public. Working within the Boeing Archives and reporting to the Sr. Manager of Brand Strategy & Historical Services, you will shape and share stories from Boeing’s archive collections across internal and external channels. Working alongside the Boeing Archive team you will partner closely with Communications & Brand, Marketing, Engineering, and Media Relations to create content, brief spokespeople, and represent Boeing history at events.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Turn archival material into clear, engaging stories for diverse audiences: employees, media, customers, researchers, partners, enthusiasts, and the public.
  • Create written and spoken content: articles, scripts, executive briefings, presentations, tours, exhibit copy, social, email and website content.
  • Act as the Boeing storyteller who crafts memorable narratives tailored to various audiences.
  • Serve as an on-camera or in-person representative for company history for media and public events in coordination with Media Relations.
  • Coach spokespeople and leaders for presentations and interviews; prepare talking points and briefing materials.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with museums, universities, aviation groups, and enthusiast networks for events, talks, and joint programs.
  • Work with exhibit teams and designers to develop content, captions, and visitor-facing narratives.
  • Help develop internal heritage programs: onboarding talks, tours, and exhibits that raise awareness of Boeing’s legacy.
  • Maintain accuracy, attribution, and sensitivity when presenting historic material; coordinate with legal as required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in History, Journalism, Communications, Museum Studies, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience with public-facing communications, journalism, museum interpretation, corporate storytelling, and/or archival outreach
  • Experience with public speaking
  • Experience translating archival sources into accurate, concise, and audience-appropriate narratives
  • Experience with archival practices and collections (not hands-on processing)
  • Experience working with digital content, CMS platforms, and simple multimedia tools
  • Experience collaborating across functions and organizations
  • Able to travel occasionally (quarterly)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with corporate or large institutional archives, or with museum/exhibit content creation
  • Direct experience in aviation/aerospace storytelling or related technical topics
  • Experience working alongside corporate media relations and legal review processes
  • Training in oral history, exhibit interpretation, or public history
  • Adaptable and tech-savvy, edits basic audio/video, creates web/social-ready copy, and uses analytics to iterate
