Who will you be working with?

The ERP Program Execution team focuses on ERP conversions, implementations, and process improvement projects for Wabtec. This team partners with the business users to implement Oracle ERP within our manufacturing and distribution sites which have been acquired or do not currently use Oracle ERP.

How will you make a difference?

The Purchasing project manager will lead processes and modules related to Purchasing in Oracle eBusiness Suite.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert/Solution Architect for Purchasing processes, including collaboration with Application teams and integrations (Quality Management System-Reliance, Supplier Collaboration-SCC, Supplier Onboarding-HICX, Indirect Purchasing-Coupa)
  • Lead wing-to-wing IT projects for implementing purchasing solutions in Oracle
  • Collaborate with functional users to recognize business processes that deviate from standard Oracle ERP, execute ERP module configurations and partner with business users for successful rollout, with heavy focus on change management and site adoption.
  • Learn and understand business user requirements for Oracle ERP project requests and enhancement requests.
  • Travel to the manufacturing and distribution sites to meet with and support functional teams
  • Define as-is and to-be process maps in coordination with functional partners for the purchasing processes.
  • Perform fit vs. gap analysis on each requirement.  Collaborate with IT DevOps team for evaluating and implementing global solutions.
  • Work with developers, architects and other stakeholders to define and plan solutions for all gaps identified
  • Where standard Oracle functionality cannot meet business requirements, engage with internal Oracle development team to develop custom programs and reports to cover the gaps
  • Investigate existing Oracle functionality and custom code to determine if it will meet the functional user’s needs
  • Active participation in all stages of ERP migrations to ensure comprehensive data conversion and cutover plan.  Leverage and follow blueprint framework to cleanse and transfer data from legacy ERP into Oracle ERP.
  • Support of training users how to perform their business processes in Oracle and use OBIEE Reports
  • Proactively identify corrective actions to address potential project delays & perceived risks
  • Support existing sites as the focal point for purchasing issues and questions about general functionality

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an IT related field (MIS, Computer Science, IT Security) or Supply Chain
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Experience using an ERP, preferably Oracle, or executing ERP Projects.
  • Able and willing to travel 25%
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated program / project management experience, successfully managing multiple projects and cross functional teams
  • High attention to detail
  • Resourceful and quick learner; able to efficiently seek out, learn and apply new areas of expertise as needed.
  • Highly self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops thoughtful plans to resolve
  • Change agent mentality – Proactively learns new processes, identifies opportunities for improvement while promoting their adoption
  • Ability to research Oracle functionality and issues using online resources
  • Experience with data mining, SQL

$67,400.00-$96,000.00
