Job Description

The Automotive Parts Analyst, responsible a variety of administrative functions and acting as the primary contact and representative of the Bosch team. This positions combines, research, analytical and customer service skills to support dealers, field associates and product engineers with automotive parts queries. Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

•     Evaluating body shop estimates

•     Conduct research and prepare reports as directed

•     Mailing VIN labels

•     Receive, track, and resolve request made via email

•     Verifying and releasing parts

•     Part number research

•     Part registration

•     Claim and order analysis

•     UIO breakdown by dealer analysis

•     Parts monitoring support

•     Analyze claim trends versus parts orders

•     Inventory scrap analysis 

  • Misc. tasks and associated responsibilities as requested

Qualifications

•     High school diploma or GED required with an associate degree in automotive technologies or equivalent is preferred

•     5+ years of experience preferably within an automotive OEM

•     2 years of experience working in a dealership parts department or equivalent (such as aftermarket parts counter, parts manager, or service support)

•     2 years of experience in a work environment requiring customer interaction, both written and verbal

•     General automotive technical knowledge (theory of operation), dealership service operations, or related technical knowledge that will facilitate ability to learn automotive technology

•     Must have knowledge of automotive parts

•     Ability to prioritize workload and meet due dates in addition to handling multiple tasks while changing priorities

•     Intermediate personal computer proficiency - able to use Windows Explorer, MS Office Suite and the Internet

•     Ability to work independently

•     Ability to work as a team member towards common goals

•     Ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders

•     Ability to troubleshoot while leveraging various resources including but not limited to knowledge gained, team members and overall problem-solving abilities to provide solutions

•     Ability to research information, interpret it and use it to problem solve

•     Knowledge of most conventional automotive techniques including equipment, terminology, and automotive technology

•     Must be detailed oriented, and methodical with follow up

Additional Information

•     Experience with Toyota automotive parts and Toyota processes

•     Experience with communicating with various departments within Toyota

•     Proficiency with Software Applications such as PRS and TQNET
