What you will do
Manage shift operation of facility, including production and packaging of finished goods, personnel, labor cost control, waste control, and food safety.
What you will need (Education/Experience)
- Degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
- 2–5 years of leadership experience in production, preferably in the food industry, or manufacturing experience required
- BRC, SQF, or AIB certification knowledge desired
- Strong computer skills including experience with warehouse management systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think critically and solve complex problems
- Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed with the ability to work without close supervision
Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Manage the daily production operations of the facility and its components
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support employee and food safety, product quality, asset effectiveness, and workplace organization
- Develop KPIs and report on weekly/monthly trends
- Provide leadership for production personnel to achieve plant-specific goals and objectives via continuous process improvement and alignment with the company's mission and core values
- Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize safety, quality, and productivity; ensure all quality standards, specifications, and policies are met or exceeded
- Develop and manage annual production operating budget and standards
- Ensure regulatory compliance including, but not limited to, OSHA, EPA, USDA, FLSA, EEO, OFCCP, and NLRB
- Support food safety programs, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
