ERG is seeking an experienced drafter or Computer Aided Design (CAD) technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience to provide full-time immediate on-site drafting and technical support for a federal agency client located at Dahlgren, VA. Job Description:
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and construction project managers to provide drafting support for facility-related projects, including renovations, maintenance, operations, and office space planning
- Process in-house drawing requests to support federal site facility projects
- Develop drawings to be included in contract bid deliverable packages
- Gather data by visiting buildings/spaces, conducting meetings with users/clients, or through other necessary methods to ensure accurate information for Archibus
- Upload and quality-check data in Archibus to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Coordinate with the NAVSEA Archibus contractor to align with Warfare Center Archibus rollout requirements
- Create Revit models for Archibus integration
- Track and maintain employee data within Archibus
- Provide data in electronic formats such as .dwg, .shp, or ArcGIS Geodatabase as needed
- Maintain and update the Archibus database and NSWCDD building floor plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- 5 to 15 years of experience in creating technical drawings and collaborating with engineering teams
- Strong team player and motivator with proven ability to foster collaboration
- Previous experience in supporting facility operations and maintenance
- Expertise required in AutoCAD and Revit software
- Experience with Archibus, Solidworks, and/or ProEngineer (Creo) is a plus
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 (Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ASME Y14.100 (Engineering Drawing Practices) standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be able to obtain security clearance; active clearance is a plus
