Position Purpose: The Director of Finance will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of Rosecrance. This position is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The Director of Finance will collaborate with executive leadership to provide strategic insights that drive business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the long-term financial health of the organization. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, leading a team of finance professionals, and managing relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and financial institutions. The role collaborates with executive leadership, identifies cost-saving and revenue opportunities, and ensures the long-term financial health of Rosecrance.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Accounting, Business or a related field required
- Possess a valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license
- Extensive accounting experience in for-profit and non-profit organizations, preferably within the healthcare industry
- Strong knowledge base of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and accounting procedures and principles
- Demonstrated leadership skills working with and supervising a team
- Ability to achieve departmental goals and drive transformational change
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels and functions of the organization
- Capability to work independently while actively collaborating within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and maintain meticulous attention to detail
- Competence in using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software and common computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

Essential Responsibilities:
- Work hours prescribed by leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary to complete assigned responsibilities.
- Oversee all accounting responsibilities for the organization, including the month-end/year-end close process to deliver timely, useful, accurate and relevant GAAP financial statements and related analysis for all programs and properties.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Review current financial processes and make recommendations on improvements, creating better controls, higher levels of automation, and more efficiency for the tasks being performed by the finance team.
- Ensure that the organization’s financial systems are efficient, reliable, user friendly and cost effective
- Create new and improved systems and processes that maximize current technological resources to meet operational and business needs.
- Provide direction to the finance team, establishing goals and performance metrics while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Advise leadership on financial planning, budgeting, and financial risks.
- Assist with development and monitoring of annual budget.
- Coordinate and manage cost & revenue data analysis and reporting for each program.
- Manage the treasury function: develop and update cash flow forecasts.
- Develop strategies that ensure the investment of excess funds.
- Manage and track the performance of investment assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
- Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Ethics and with the framework of the law.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
- Serve as a role model for other staff, patients, and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosec
