HVAC Technician 

Join Oshkosh Aerotech as an HVAC Technician, playing a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing HVAC systems and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment. You’ll handle preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, interpret blueprints and schematics, and conduct hands-on work including brazing, soldering, and welding. HVAC Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair all types of HVAC systems and associated components.
• Replace filters when necessary.
• Maintain facility operations through the monitoring and repair of various mechanical, electrical, plumbing, equipment, and controls.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on required systems.
• Perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication.
• Read complex blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Inspect, monitor, repair, maintain, and operate mechanical systems, motors, compressors, pumps, fans, ducts, pipes, thermostats, and switches.
• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning, glycol, heating, hot water, and steam distribution equipment and systems to optimize performance and energy use.
• Comply with company safety program and trainings.
• Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. 

• Valid Driver’s License. 

• 3 years of related HVAC/Electrical maintenance and repair experience in a commercial facility 

• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.  

• Availability to work variable shifts; including day or night shift and including weekends and holidays.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  

• Experience in airport operations. 

• Understanding of Johnson Control Systems. 

• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. 

• Basic proficiency with computers and common software applications.
