Now Hiring: Experienced Shop Mechanic – Heavy Equipment Repair
Are you an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic looking for your next opportunity? We’re hiring a Shop Mechanic with proven expertise in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing construction equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders, and bulldozers (dozers). If you have hands-on experience working with heavy-duty machinery in a shop environment, we encourage you to apply! This is a full-time opportunity with competitive pay and steady work. Key Responsibilities:
- Lift and Mobility: Regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks that require walking, standing, and climbing throughout the day.
- Preventive Maintenance & Repair: Demonstrate expertise in preventive maintenance and efficient repair of machinery when breakdowns occur.
- Service Reporting: Accurately complete and submit service reports in a timely manner.
- Tool Maintenance: Ensure tools are cleaned and stored properly at the end of each workday or job.
- Communication: Maintain proactive communication with the Equipment Manager about equipment and project status.
- Safety Inspections: Inspect and verify the functionality of safety devices, including backup alarms, fire extinguishers, seat belts, and horns.
- Equipment Care: Exercise proper care and maintenance of all company equipment.
- Work Hours: Willingness to work over 40 hours per week, including overtime and some weekends.
Requirements
- Self-Starter: We’re looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently.
- Tools: Must possess personal tools necessary for the role.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic, with a proven track record in heavy equipment maintenance.
- Equipment Knowledge: Experience working with major equipment brands like Komatsu, John Deere, and Caterpillar.
- Mechanical Expertise: Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues.
- Emissions Knowledge: Familiar with working on DPF and DEF systems for emissions.

Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
