What are you going to do?

You will have the opportunity to work in a forward-thinking and growth-oriented environment, at a healthcare services and technology company that provides state of the art pharmacy solutions helping millions of consumers save on their prescription drug costs since 2015.
They have both a PBM platform (RxAgile) that provides enterprise solutions to B2B players in the healthcare space and a direct to consumer product (SingleCare) with a mission to make prescription medication more affordable

Occupy a unique position in the market, contributing to and will own responsibility, as part of the backend engineering team, for the design and build of our distributed APIs and microservices.

• Closely work with the product team, stakeholders, lead engineers and other team members to understand the new requirements and provide estimates
• Play a key role in architectural and design decisions for creating an efficient & distributed architecture of microservices
• Design scalable and high performance distributed APIs and scheduled procedures using best practices and patterns
• Analyze and interpret the complex flow in the existing and new system and define the required microservices
• Analyze, experiment and integrate the available different AWS cloud services that could reduce the development time
• Participate in design discussions and define the action items for improving code quality and code maintainability
• Participate in code reviews and help to mentor junior engineers on the team
• Monitor performance using APM tools such as New Relic
• Proactively investigate production issues by checking logs and code debugging for failure scenarios
• Coordinate with team members and update required documentation before implementing any new design changes

What will help you succeed

• Golang
• Excellent knowledge of designing RESTful and gRPC APIs
• Hands on experience working with MySQL and MSSQL
• Knowledge of caching patterns using Redis is a must
• Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a must
• Good knowledge of code versioning tool like Bitbucket / Git is a must
• Hands-on experience working with GORM is strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience working on ElasticSearch is strongly preferred
• Excellent debugging skills
• Knowledge of AWS services like Cognito, Lambda and S3 is a big plus
• Good to have knowledge of GraphQL
