Bill Me Later, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of PayPal, Inc., seeks Data Analyst 2 in Chicago, IL
Job Duties: Apply advanced statistical techniques and algorithms on complex datasets to build statistical or financial models for prediction of risk and revenue and driving actionable business insights for Bill Me Later, Inc. (BML) product or customer level credit risk management. Mine data covering a wide range of information from user profile to transaction details to solve risk problems that involve classification, clustering, pattern analysis, sampling, simulations. Leverage data to support BML’s Cobrand Card business program and insights via monitoring, and reporting leveraging scalable and flexible platforms. Conduct a 360-credit risk framework that covers risk lifecycle metrics and customer experience and engagement metrics for decisioning and drive cross team collaboration. Conduct on-going performance overview to senior leadership team. Carry out independent research and innovation in new content, ML and technological domains. Trouble shoot any data, system, and flow challenges while maintaining flawless strategy execution. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

1. Machine learning (model development/deployment; optimization including parameter tuning, dimension reduction, feature selection, and model validation)
2. Predictive analytics and segmentation (classification models, regression models, and statistical analysis)
3. Experimental design (A/B testing)
4. Profit & Loss (P&L) analytics
5. Credit risk management / credit risk analytics
6. Credit bureau analytics
7. Python (pandas, numpy, and sklearn packages)
8. SQL tools: Google Big Query and Teradata
9. Data visualization (Tableau, Amplitutde, and Q-monitor)
10. Database management,: Big data and cloud (Hadoop, Hive, Stampy, Teradata, and Google Big Query)
