Position Overview:
The Holecut Technician is responsible for drilling and cutting holes in boat hulls, decks, and small parts. This role involves using various tools and equipment to ensure precise and clean cuts, adhering to manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
- Drill and cut holes in molded fiberglass decks, hulls, and small parts using hand and power tools.
- Operate gel-coat spray equipment, grinders, buffers, drills, and other specialty tools and fixtures.
- Measure and mark decks, hulls, and small parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Grind, sand, clean, or polish objects and parts to correct defects or prepare surfaces for further finishing.
- Inspect completed parts to verify quality and ensure they meet specified standards.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precise and clean cuts.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues related to hole cutting and finishing processes.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, Including Drills, grinders and buffers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven ability to identify and resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure precise and clean cuts.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve issues related to hole cutting and finishing processes.
Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety compliance to include PPE adherence, safety policy adherence, and safe behaviors and conditions. Must possess the desire and ambition to always work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately.
Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
The pay range for this position is $19.90 -$22.50, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program. This position is also eligible for an award target as part of Brunswick’s long-term incentive program.
