Senior / Staff Engineer, Requirements Management

As the Requirements Management Expert on the Design Tools & Processes Team you will be working cross functionally to align our Requirements and Validation plans with our development milestones and company goals. You will work from the high level Product Features down to systems, sub-systems, and component technical specs while considering functional and technical safety. You will think holistically and be the Company-wide expert and go-to person for Requirements Management knowledge and guidance.

In this role, you will

• Define program milestones for requirements management
• Align cross functional work streams to achieve program milestones
• Report current status against milestones including requirements compliance and test cases 
• Drive continuous improvement of the requirements management processes and tools at Zoox

Qualifications

• B.S or M.S. in Engineering
• Requirements Management Expertise
• 15+ years in engineering
• Ability to work cross functionally between Hardware, Firmware, and Software, and Product in a fast paced dynamic environment
• Expertise in Systems Engineering
• Expertise in Functional and Technical Safety
• Experience in Hardware and Software Validation
• Required Tool Knowledge at expert level: Polarion ALMJira/ConfluenceOffice/Google Suite

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $172,000 to $286,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
