As a Record To Report Lead Accountant you’ll be responsible for correct statutory and IFRS reporting for European entities.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure accurate statutory and IFRS reporting for European entities.
• Stay updated on statutory and tax regulations; assess business impact.
• Properly account for and document non-recurring transactions.
• Establish local policies for statutory accounting and reporting.
• Manage and produce statutory financial information for annual reports.
• Coordinate statutory audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Support tax compliance, including CIT and other local taxes, and prepare tax schedules and commentary for internal reporting on ANAF portal
• Ensure timely and accurate tax submissions and disclosures.
• Assist in documenting and implementing transfer pricing policies.
• Support process improvement within the statutory and regulatory environment, including designing and adjusting statutory processes and controls.
• Collaborate with the Financial Controller on IFRS and statutory accounting.

 

 

Your Qualifications

• Finance background (Master's degree minimum; ACCA or equivalent is an additional plus).
• At least 5 years of experience, ideally in a multinational and complex matrix organization.
• Familiar with local tax and statutory accounting specifics.
• Familiar with ANAF portal
• Strong planning and organizational skills; able to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communicator, capable of conveying complex issues clearly and concisely.
• Experience working across multiple levels, functions, regions, and third parties.
• Practical knowledge of IFRS.
• Knowledge of Workiva and SAP.
• Fluent in Romanian and English.
