JOB SUMMARY

Graduate Assistant will assist with accreditation tasks, data collection, data reporting, and technology support. The position involves data management (both quantitative & qualitative), managing a small number of databases, creating and managing online surveys and forms, creating & maintaining code books, creating tables (frequencies, group differences), preparing power point slides/presentations and pivot tables of the data (e.g., graphing, charting, filters), etc. The majority of the work is data management and reporting. The level of statistical analyses would depend on the successful candidate's experience.  

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES

  • Creating and managing online surveys and forms, including data export and reporting
  • Data entry, cleaning, reporting
  • Support accreditation tasks including preparing documentation, evidence, and reports
  • Assist with digitization of forms

Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled as a CSUSB graduate students (student enrolled in credential programs are not eligible)
  • Must maintain academic eligibility throughout employment (3.0 GPA or higher)
  • Familiarity with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Alchemer, Adobe, Google Sites, PeopleSoft would be an asset
  • Familiarity with data management would be an asset
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in hand by time of appointment. 
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Alchemer, Adobe, and Google Sites
  • Data management experience with large datasets

Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation is valued. Evidence of exemplary graduate-level teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred and should be noted in application.
