Description
The College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences seeks highly qualified applicants, particularly those just starting their academic careers, for a full-time, tenure-track, or tenured position at Assistant or Associate Professor ranks. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D., Pharm.D., or other doctorates in pharmaceutical sciences or relevant biomedical sciences.
We seek applications from individuals working in cutting-edge areas of pharmaceutical sciences that will complement and expand upon our current areas of strength. We are especially interested in applicants working in biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, pharmacometrics, population/physiological based pharmacokinetic modeling, quantitative systems pharmacology, and AI-based computational modeling/data science related to pharmaceutical sciences. Candidates are expected to build dynamic, independent research programs, establish collaborative ties with other departments across the University, and contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
In addition to scholarly pursuits, the candidate will be expected to contribute to excellence in the teaching of basic/clinical pharmacokinetics and advanced pharmacokinetics/pharmacometrics within the various degree programs of the College of Pharmacy; in mentoring graduate, PharmD, and undergraduate students and post-doctoral scholars; and in providing service to the department, college, university and scientific community. Candidates must be able to articulate how they will support the College’s mission “to educate and inspire a diverse group of future pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists to be leaders, advance patient care, and improve health for all.”
Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D., Pharm.D., or other doctorates in pharmaceutical sciences or relevant biomedical sciences.
