SUMMARY: 

Manages the daily activities of field staff as it relates to the successful execution of assigned projects. The Lead Project Manager leads a team of field staff on specific projects giving them guidance throughout their projects.  They anwser technical questions related to the project, perform technical reviews, understand client specific protocols, and provide training to project staff.  The Lead Project Manager will be required to travel to client project sites.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.

 

Core:

  1. Manages field staff assigned to projects on a project-by-project basis, providing direction, support, and technical guidance, reviewing and evaluating their work progress, identifying and resolving problems.
  2. Supports the management team in daily activities as it relates to the successful management of programs, including managing the overall direction, completion, and budget of the project.
  3. Manages the cross reference of resources onsite. 
  4. Interfaces with client representative onsite and coordinates the team schedule and responsibilities.
  5. Manage multiple tasks and projects across multiple programs.
  6. Maintains project-by-project communication on programs with the management team and keeps them informed of any actual or potential problems including continuing updates of when reports will be e-mailed/shipped to production.
  7. This is a client facing role; must be able to represent BV at pre-bid meetings, short-list interviews and project kick-off.
  8. Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  9. Plans, schedules, and communicates project timelines.
  10. Familiar with contract administration and change order review.
  11. Performs report reviews when required.
  12. Quality control and assurance.
  13. Maintain web-based project management database.
  14. Protects operations by keeping company information confidential.
  15. Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients’ needs.
  16. Demonstrates BV’s guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals.
  17. Follows all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards and strategic initiatives.
  18. Maintains safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
  19. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.

 

Division-Specific:


Asset Management division specific:

  1. General familiarity with all Asset Management services, budget development, forecasting, and management.
  2. Performs the duties of the onsite Project Assessor (field), including conducting client facing on-site assessments and preparing written report that accurately describes onsite assessment findings including but not limited to: Facility Condition Assessments (FCA), energy audits, accessibility assessments, mechanical equipment evaluations, space utilization planning and analysis, and other technical services associated with capital planning of commercial, institutional, and/or municipal facilities.
