Supervisor, Production - Paint

The primary focus of this position is to provide leadership and maintain all related activities the Powder Paint Department.

What You Need to Know:

• Departmental Champion for Safety and Quality.
• Ensures each assigned worker follows all safety standards and maintains excellent Housekeeping.
• Guides, schedules, and supervises the work of multiple Production Teams to ensure a quality product is produced while meeting productivity standards and cost targets, safely.  
• Communicates Departmental Goals and Objectives, and addresses any gaps with countermeasures.
• Coaches and mentors assigned Team.  Implements disciplinary and termination steps as necessary and according to company policy.

What We Are Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred.
• At least three years of related experience required.
• Previous experience and success as a People Leader in a high speed manufacturing environment.
• Experience with powder paint, liquid paint, and/or Electrocoat.
• Familiar with Lean principles, Six Sigma, and 5S.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to traverse manufacturing site and bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to make inspections.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
