Raging Waters Los Angeles - Security Supervisor
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for security duties in the protection of life and property through crime prevention and enforcement of laws and policy. Supervisor duties range from periods of physical inactivity to situations requiring extreme physical exertion and exposure to danger. Supervisors must be able to act without immediate supervision and exercise independent judgment in meeting emergencies and provide leadership for other Security Team Members.
Additionally, Security Supervisors are responsible for hiring, scheduling, and documentation for their respective team members. They also oversee a team of security guards and potentially other departments (e.g. parking lot attendants).
Seasonal Position: Security Supervisor
The pay rate for this position is $20/hour
Roles & Responsibilities:
Supervisory Duties:
· Supervise the daily operations of the Security team and any other assigned departments
· Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Raging Water's Los Angeles core values
· Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members
· Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all security positions and backfill these positions when needed
· Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.
· Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with California law
· Ensure daily sign-in sheets are completed and submitted each day
· Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities
Departmental Duties:
· Act as Security “One” in the absence of the Security Manager.
· Maintain constant vigilance while the park is operating to identify any potential issues or safety concerns; communicate any potential issues to other departments and/or leadership in a timely manner
· Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests
· Monitor guest safety and communicate conflicts to supervisors on duty
· Handle elevated guest complaints or conflicts that occur on the property
· Approve and send incident reports to the proper channels.
· Act as a first responder at the scene of accidents or crimes; secures scene, provides emergency CPR/AED and first aid.
· Take control of emergency and intense situations while remaining calm
· Professionally manage crowd control during emergency situations
· Contact local law enforcement personnel when circumstances warrant.
· Exercise clear and concise communications with all park departments
· Collaborate with the parking team members to conduct traffic duties, when needed
· Enforce the parking lot rules and regulations
· Respond to routine and emergency calls throughout the park property. Answer phone calls, providing pleasant and helpful phone contact for, staff, the public.
· Assist in safety prevention efforts, including responding to all safety calls, fire alarms, and emergencies.
· Utilize electronic card access, closed circuit television, and other audio/visual monitoring systems, monitors and supervises the response to all reports or irregular conditions, including the unauthorized entry of persons or vehicles to protected buildings and areas, breaches of perimeter security or any other suspicious activities occurring on the property.
· Enforce all Park rules and regulations
· All other duties assigned by leadership
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Equivalent work experie
