THIS JOB OPPORTUNITY IS FOR THE 2ND SHIFT (2:00 PM to 10:15 PM EST) IN GRAY COURT, SOUTH CAROLINA. THE SELECTED CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO WORK THE 2ND SHIFT, AS WELL AS WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, AND OVERTIME AS NEEDED.

What you can look forward to as a Production Supervisor

• Supervises staff to produce manufactured products, and organizes and monitors workflow.
• Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
• Recruits, selects, onboards, trains, and mentors employees.
• Maintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points, and initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing production standards.
• Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, and answering questions and responding to requests.

Your Profile as a Production Supervisor

• High School diploma or GED and 2-4+ years of related experience. Automotive experience is highly preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, strong MS Office (Excel) and knowledge
• Proven leadership skills
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing/operations. Ability to use (personally) and train individuals to use production/manufacturing equipment
• Basic knowledge of plant operations management and lean principles, processes, and techniques.
• Preferred Strong skills and work experience in lean manufacturing (ZFPS, TPS, 5S, Continuous improvement).
• Preferred Experience with SAP, MS Project, other project management and statistical analysis software.
• Availability and flexibility schedule (e.g.  weekends, overtime and holidays) to meet customer requirements.
