Senior Validation Engineer

The Automotive Radar Team at NXP Eindhoven develops solutions enabling the car to sense its environment for advanced driver assistance and towards autonomous driving and zero road fatalities.

You will be part of the Automative Radar Validation Engineering Community, which consists of an international team of experienced Validation Engineers and Architects.  

Main tasks:
- Programming, control and RF measurements of state-of-the-art Automotive Radar IC's.
- Millimeter-Wave validation of next generation Radar IC's.
- Millimeter-Wave validation bench development and performance optimization.
- Millimeter-Wave test method investigation and developemnt.
- Build up, automation and release of validation benches.
- Writing validation plans, peer review with validation engineers.
- Writing validation setup documentation.
- Data analysis and reporting of validation results.
- Writing and presenting validation reports to the project team.
- Electrical schematic and layout design of PCB's.
- Validation plan execution in coordination with cross functional teams conducting RF and AMS measurements.
- Working together with multinational project teams.

Main requirements/skills:
- University Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or similar.
- 2 to 5 years experience as Validation Engineer or a similar role in the semiconductor industry.
- Experience and knowledge of high frequency, millimeter-wave, measurement techniques and measurement equipment.
- Experienced user of RF probe systems.
- Expert usage of RF equipment: Spectrum Analyzer, Vector Network Analyzer, Vector Signal Generator, Oscilloscope.
- Programming/Scripting: Python, C++, Matlab, Labview/Teststand is a pre.
- Validation bench automation with Python, Matlab or Labview.
- Strong data -and root cause analysis skills.
- Data analysis with Matlab and Phyton.

- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English.
- Curious to learn new technologies.
- Self-motivated and organized, Team player.
- Proactive attitude to get things done, able to operate on own initiative where required.
